I don't drink coffee, I drink tea. But lately I've noticed some interesting looking coffee canisters in the grocery store. Somehow said packages wind up in my shopping cart.
Luckily Lance drinks the java--and he now has a huge stockpile. I'm turning a few of them into planters. This one was a coffee bag, but worked just as well as the can did.

What's Needed:
- Bag of Coffee
- Small Rocks
- Potting Soil
- Plant
- Pinking Shears

Empty coffee into container (or drink it, for those of you that do) and trim sides of package with pinking shears. |

Fill bag with an inch or two of rocks for drainage and to add some weight and stability to bag. |

Add dirt to bag, leaving just enough room for plant. |

Remove plant from old pot. |

Top off with enough dirt to fill container and water. |
