I've seen several kits to make poetry bricks offered in mail-order catalogs, but they ranged around $50. The following were made using materials I found around the house and the craft store.
What's Needed:
|

|
- ready to mix concrete
- water
- bucket for mixing
- putty knife
- concrete dye
- brick or stone forms (I used foil loaf pans and ziplock
reusable containers)
- letter stamps

Mix concrete, water and dye as directed on package. It should be quite thick. Pour into mold and let dry about 15-20 minutes before stamping letters or writing on bricks. I also added the fern leaf at this stage, and left it in for about an hour before taking it off. |

The stones need to dry in the mold for about 48 hours before they can be moved. |
