After the walls were painted and the furniture arranged there was still something lacking. I decided to turn some old Moroccan stamps I had leftover from a craft project into wall art. The walls are painted a desert sand (Behr color Kashmir) and the trim a dark brown/black (Glidden color Dark Cavern) -- to match old sepia-tone Algerian postcards I have framed.
What's Needed:
I purchased a huge pile of French Moroccan stamps from ebay for about $1. I then scanned a few of the better quality ones at a super high quality -- about 600 dpi. After playing around in Photoshop for a bit I printed out the (4x6) image onto photo paper.
The paper is super-heavy parchment paper made by Hahnemuhle and is specialty coated for inkjet printers. I found the frames at Target. They come in a box of ten for under $20.
